Crow’s feet are dynamic wrinkles and creases radiating from the lateral part of the eye caused by contractions of the orbicularis oculi muscle. These dynamic lines appear when smiling, laughing and squinting. With age and sun damage these lines become deeper and present without active muscle movement.
These lines can be effectively treated with Botox anti-wrinkle injections. It is also possible to achieve lateral brow lift when treating Crow’s feet wrinkles because the orbicularis oculi, muscle causing Crow’s feet wrinkles, depresses the lateral part of the eyebrow so injecting into this part of the muscle results in an attractively arched eyebrow.
