Women are generally perceived as more attractive if they have arched eyebrows. On the other hand, ideal male eyebrow is lower set and less arched.
The shape of the eyebrows determines frontalis/orbicularis oculi muscles ratio. Frontalis muscles pull the eyebrows upward and the orbicularis oculi muscles pull it downwards. Furthermore, as we age the loss of fat creates an excessive skin over the lateral aspect of the eyes causing tired and sleeping appearance. Injecting lateral aspect of the eyebrow will lift the skin up an open the eye giving a fresh and more youthful appearance.
By injecting Botox under the eyebrows into the muscles that pull the eyebrows downwards, lifting effect can be achieved. The location where the Botox is injected will determine whether you get eyebrow tail lift or mid-brow lift.
