For those who are unhappy with the appearance of their faces, it is good to know that there are other options for skin rejuvenation that don’t require a scalpel. It is no secret that as we age our bodies change and these changes are most obvious on our faces. Dermal fillers and Botulinum toxin injections, non-surgical aesthetic treatments, have an excellent effect in reducing and preventing skin senescence and are the most popular and easy ways to fill out fine lines and wrinkles, plump our cheeks or replace lost volume in the face.
Non-surgical aesthetic/cosmetic industry has radically evolved over the last decade. These cosmetic procedures are now, not only an option for the rich but accessible to everyone. This includes people who want to fight the signs of natural ageing and those who’ve developed lines from exposure to the sun.
The large shift from surgical to non-surgical cosmetic treatments in the last few years is a direct result of a minimally invasive approach, immediate and non-permanent results with little or no downtime, fewer complications and more affordable cosmetic treatments which are far less expensive than the average surgical cosmetic treatments.
Increasing demands for nonsurgical procedures and a more youthful appearance have led to new innovative cosmetic treatments. In our clinic, Dr Matic uses the most advanced non-surgical techniques to lift and rejuvenate the face, help define the chin and jawline, correct tear troughs (under eye hollows) and reshape the nose without the risks or downtime of surgery.
From 2023, dr Matic’s offer includes various facial and body-contouring aesthetic surgical procedures.
Dr Stipo Matic
Dr Stipo Matic graduated in Medicine from the University of Zagreb in 2011. After his Foundation medical training, he moved to London where he practised in various surgical specialties in the NHS. He moved back to Zagreb (Croatia) in 2017 and started his Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery training.
Even though he worked full-time in the NHS, his genuine interest in Aesthetics led him to specialise in Non-Surgical Aesthetics in London. He attended various advanced and masterclass Aesthetic Courses and was trained by the leading experts in the aesthetic industry. After an intensive 2-year training, he became the first Croatian doctor and one of the first aesthetic doctors in the UK with a Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. Dr Matic performs the latest advanced Botulinum toxin and dermal filler procedures and his bespoke signature treatments.
In 2018 he opened his clinic “Maticlinic” in central Zagreb and in central London in Harley Street.
After completing his training in Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, at the end of 2022 he passed his Plastic surgery specialist exam and became a Specialist in Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. During his specialist training, he continued to work in the UK where he spend 6 months every year working in the leading Plastic Surgery Clinics such as Royal Free Hospital London, Guy’s and Thomas’ Hospital London, Whiston Hospital Liverpool and Aintree University Hospital Liverpool.
In order to improve his knowledge and operative skills in the field of Aesthetic surgery, Dr Matic did a 3month fellowship in Aesthetic surgery in 2022 at the world-famous Akademikliniken in Stockholm, founded by Per Heden, one of the world’s most famous aesthetic surgeons. At Akademikliniken, he got more extensive knowledge in the field of aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, body and intimate area.
Furthermore, in 2022, he became the first Croatian surgeon to receive a Fellowship in Aesthetic surgery from ISAPS (the world’s leading and most famous aesthetic surgery organization). He spent the 3-month ISAPS Fellowship with an emphasis on facial and breast surgery at the prestigious La clinic in Montreux, Switzerland, under the mentorship of Dr Michel Pfulg, once considered one of the top 5 aesthetic surgeons in the world.
Dr Matic’s specific area of interest in liposuction and body-contouring, as well as in breast and facial aesthetic surgery, led him to one more 3-month fellowship in Aesthetic surgery in 2023 at the prestigious Austrian Kuzbari Aesthetic Clinic in the centre of Vienna.
He is a member of the General Medical Council, Croatian Medical Chamber, ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and Croatian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
