How does Profhilo work?

What is the difference between Profhilo and dermal fillers?
Compared to dermal fillers, Profhilo does not replenish volume but enhances stem cell reproduction. Once injected, it slowly spreads in the skin and stimulates the production of 4 types of collagen.
The Profhilo effect leads to remodelling of the extracellular matrix in terms of elasticity and support, promoting and maintaining the viability of fibroblasts, keratinocytes and adipocytes.
How does the Profhilo treatment look like?
Prior to the treatment, you will have a consultation with Dr Matic during which you will discuss your expectations and go through all the aspects of the procedure.
Profhilo comes in a 2ml syringe and is injected superficially under the skin using BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique – 5 specific points on each side of the treated area (face, neck…)
Are there any side effects?
Redness or swelling may occur at the injection site immediately after the treatment and subside within 24 hours.
How many treatments do I need?
In order to achieve the best possible results, 4ml in total are required. 2ml in the initial treatment and further 2ml of Profhilo one month after the first treatment.
